Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Flato platform — including our website at goflato.com, our web application, and our mobile applications — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you are using Flato on behalf of an RWA, housing society, or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Who Can Use Flato

Flato is designed for residential societies, RWAs, apartment communities, and their members in India. To use Flato, you must:

• Be at least 14 years of age
• Be a resident, committee member, staff, or authorised representative of a registered society or RWA
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Not be barred from using the service under applicable Indian law

Flato is currently available to users in India only.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Not share your OTP or login credentials with others
• Not create multiple accounts for the same person

Flato uses OTP-based authentication. You are responsible for securing access to the mobile number registered with your account.

Permitted Use

You may use Flato only for its intended purpose — managing your residential society. Permitted uses include:

• Collecting and tracking maintenance dues and payments
• Managing visitor entry and gate security logs
• Raising, assigning, and resolving maintenance complaints
• Booking shared society facilities
• Publishing announcements and community notices
• Managing resident and staff accounts within your society

Subscriptions & Payments

Flato is currently offered free of charge during our early access period. Future pricing will be communicated with advance notice.

• Future Plans — when paid plans are introduced, existing societies will receive at least 30 days' notice before any charges begin.
• Taxes — applicable Indian taxes (GST) will be charged on paid plans as required by law.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use Flato to:

• Harass, abuse, or threaten any resident, committee member, or staff member
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's account or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our platform
• Use automated bots or scripts to access the platform
• Violate any applicable Indian law, including the IT Act, 2000
• Share login credentials or allow unauthorised persons to access society data

Termination

Either party may terminate use of the platform with the 1 months formal written notice:

• You — may stop using Flato at any time. Contact us to close your society account and request data deletion.
• Flato — may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the service. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.

Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease. You may request an export of your data before termination is completed.

Limitation of Liability

Flato provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
• We are not responsible for disputes between residents or between residents and the society committee
• We are not liable for financial losses arising from payment gateway failures, which are governed by the respective gateway's terms

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Flato shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
